RSI Europe was represented by Tomasz Affet at the CEE Security Forum in Warsaw, where he took part in a panel discussion “European Cooperation in the Defence Industry – Potential and Challenges.”
The discussion focused on the opportunities and obstacles of greater European defence industry integration. While collaboration can enhance military capability, innovation, and competitiveness, challenges remain in areas such as national sovereignty, technology standardization, and securing long-term funding for joint projects. The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has added urgency to these discussions, raising the question of whether Europe is ready to move from fragmentation toward effective cooperation.

Reflecting on the discussion, Tomasz stated:
“Such conversations are extremely important for alignment and quicker progress. I was glad to see that we all agree the defence industry needs more attention, support, and, most importantly, long-term orders from the government to bolster regional defence. The industry is ready to deliver and has scaled production capabilities based on projected needs.”
Events like the CEE Security Forum are crucial to accelerating and unifying the development of national and regional defence capabilities.
