Arming is inhibited until all safety mechanisms are cleared.

Functionality 

  • Direct drone interface – controlled from the pilot’s console as the primary mode, with RISE-1 controller support available when required

 

  • Status display – arming status is shown in the OSD (On-Screen Display)

 

  • Four initiation modes – impact, proximity, timer, and manual command 

 

  • Payload agnostic – configurable initiation adaptable to any payload type, maximising effectiveness across diverse target scenarios 

 

  • Carrier-agnostic – Standard flight-controller interface and dual Picatinny rail mount ensure integration with any drone platform, independent of manufacturer

Benefits

The ESAD-L1 eliminates the risk of unintended detonation at the launch site, offers multiple initiation modes including proximity detonation that fires an EFP charge at optimal standoff distance, and allows safe recovery or disposal of the munition if a mission is aborted.
